If you suspect or are currently dealing with CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome), you probably have more questions than answers about your symptoms, your home, and where to start. I've lived it, and I'm here to help you sort it out.

CIRS is a complex, multi-system illness that can develop after exposure to biotoxins, including those from mold and water-damaged buildings, tic or brown recluse bites, . In some people, the immune system doesn't recognize and clear these exposures effectively, and the ongoing inflammation can affect the brain, gut, energy levels, and more.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Because the symptoms are so widespread and overlap with many other conditions, CIRS is often overlooked or misdiagnosed. Many people spend years collecting a long list of diagnoses before anyone connects the dots.

New to CIRS?

Mold is rarely the whole picture.

Mold may be what first gets your attention, but a safer home means looking well beyond mold. Water damage can involve bacteria, actinomycetes, and other contaminants too. When you understand all the biotoxins that may be in your home, you can make better decisions about your health and your space.

Guidance for the body and the building

As a Shoemaker-trained CIRS coach, I can help you make sense of your symptoms, lab results, and environmental findings so you can see the full picture.

Whether you’re just getting started or still struggling after remediation, we’ll sort through what you know, identify what’s missing, and map out a practical path forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need labs or home testing before our consult?

1

No, you can come to our first call without any testing or bring whatever results you already have, even older ones. Every home and situation is different. Taking time to understand your home and health history helps us avoid spending money on tests that won’t give us the answers we need. We’ll figure out together what’s worth testing and what your next steps should be.

Can you prescribe prescription binders?

2

No, Kristie is not a licensed prescriber. As a Shoemaker-trained CIRS coach, she helps bridge the gap between receiving a treatment plan and knowing how to put it into practice. She helps you understand the protocol, work through questions, and identify pieces that may need more attention.

She can also collaborate with your Indoor Environmental Professional (IEP) and remediation team, bringing the body and the building into the same conversation. A prescribing provider manages your medical treatment, while Kristie provides practical guidance to help you move forward with clarity.

Can I start healing if I’m still living in mold?

3

Yes, we can help you get started while we work together to address your environment. Many people start with us while still dealing with exposure at home or work. There are things we can put in place to support your body and help you start feeling better as we develop a plan for your environment.

What makes you different?

4

I’ve lived it, and I understand with deep empathy how hard this journey is. My training didn’t stop at the Shoemaker Protocol. For the last two years, I’ve received direct training and daily mentorship from Lauren Lowenstein, The Biotoxin Lady. That depth of hands on learning and ongoing collaboration is what sets my support apart. You’re not just getting my eyes, experience, and knowledge, you’re getting both of us.
